There's no better place to bring your family. The kindest people, worlds BEST FOOD, breakfasts are complimentary and could feed a family of 100. Eggs, sausage, ham, French toast, OJ, hot chocolate, coffee, pancakes, quiche, fresh fruit and more - EVERY MORNING. Specifically for the kids every morning they can ride the "train", ride the pony, go on a hay ride, go on the quad with The Farmer, feed the calves and milk the cows, if they want. Just come here and join the family. We came here 7 years ago and have been back every year since. In fact, every year before we leave we schedule next years trip. I GUARANTEE you'll be the same way.

Farm house Bed and Breakfast with amazing hosts in Lancaster County, PA. We stayed in the Meadow Room, which technically sleeps 3 but my family of four, including my 3 and 5 year old daughters were more than comfortable in here. All of the rooms are air conditioned and the whole house is extremely clean and comfortable. A huge farm, family style breakfast is included with your stay, where everyone staying eats together. We enjoyed collecting eggs from the hen house, feeding the baby calves, milking the cows, petting and feeding the goats, pony rides and hay rides. Couldn't have hoped for better hosts! Great place to stay if visiting Amish country, Hershey Park, or Dutch Wonderland.

I've been coming to Rocky Acre with my family since I was in elementary school. The Benner family are masters at the art of hospitality and make the finest country breakfast in the world. The working dairy farm provides all the fresh ingredients, and one can really see how a dairy farm operates. It's absolutely perfect for families with small children, and between the hayrides/ATV rides around the farm and neighborhood, the pony rides, and seeing the whole process of milking and caring for their vast population of dairy cows, kids will be enchanted with wonder. In my time I have stayed in the Century Room (I loved the loft as a kid!), the Hideaway Room (ensconced upstairs!) and the Apartment (my personal favorite). Each of the rooms have their own charm and character. It's within reasonable driving distance of most Lancaster attractions, but there is so much to do and see in Mount Joy, so I recommend exploring the local sites- the staff are more than helpful when it comes to suggestions. An absolute gem of a B&B, I cannot speak highly enough of it.

My family just completed a weekend stay at Rocky Acre and it is truly a great place with a little something for everyone. Eileen and her staff make a breakfast every morning that could feed and army in terms of quantity, but the quality of making everything from scratch is apparent in the taste. We had the Farmers Suite and it is perfect for a family of four with two younger children as the room has bunk beds which are very sturdy, safe, and will be a hit with the kids. Every morning after breakfast Galen will take the kids on a pony ride or a "train ride" around the property. They will also give you baskets to let the kids go into the chicken house to pick out the eggs every day and to feed their collection of goats and sheep. Not to be missed is the chance to watch and to try milking a cow. Galen, Eileen and their staff have created a true farm heaven that should not be missed. (The only big negative about going is that when you send a reservation request through their website a lot of times you do not a get a response for several days if at all without sending another request or sending an email asking about the status of your original request.)

Just got back from a terrific weekend at Rocky Acre Farm. We went with 7 families in total and took over the main house. As a family of 5 we took the efficiency room on the top floor (Queen with two singles one of which is a trundle). The kids in the group ranged from 3-10 and every one of them had a fantastic time. They got to milk cows, feed calves, collect eggs from the hen house, enjoy tractor rides, ride bikes, play basketball, whiffle ball, throw frisbees - all before noon. Breakfast was unbelievably good. Bube's Brewery in town is a great family spot, especially if it's warm enough to sit in the beer garden. We live in northern NJ, so it was almost a 3 1/2 hour drive, but it was totally worth it and we will absolutely go back! It was $190 per night for our room which was a great value.
